About DiffusionSMB & Founder

DiffusionSMB exists to bring real, working AI to the “last mile” of small businesses — the point where technology meets the people answering phones, greeting patients, and keeping the day moving.

We focus on service businesses like orthodontic practices and at-home service providers where:

Missed calls and slow responses mean missed revenue
Staff are overloaded with repetitive work
Owners know AI is important, but don’t have time to become AI engineers

Our Job is Simple:

Turn AI from a buzzword into something that actually shows up in your calendar, your patient experience, and your bottom line.

The name Diffusion comes from modern diffusion models in AI — systems that start with a noisy, unclear image and iteratively refine it until every detail is sharp. That’s what we aim to do for your practice: take the noise of chaotic calls, inboxes, and tools, and turn it into a clear, manageable flow of work your team can actually handle.

About Blake & DiffusionSMB

DiffusionSMB was founded by Blake Wettstein, who has spent years at the intersection of business operations and technology.

After working with multiple teams and owners across different industries, Blake kept seeing the same pattern:

• Front-line teams buried in calls, emails, and follow-ups.
• Owners frustrated by missed opportunities and manual processes.
• “AI” tools that looked cool in a demo but didn’t plug into real workflows

Blake started DiffusionSMB with a simple belief:

Small businesses deserve the same AI leverage as big companies — without needing an in- house engineering team.

Today, DiffusionSMB
focuses on:

Designing AI workflows that real staff can actually use
Helping owners feel confident saying, "Yes, we really use AI to run this place."
Translating complex tech into simple systems and dashboards

Blake has spent 10 years in sales and 15 years building and scaling global HR operations. At Ingram Micro he led HR and talent technology programs across 54 countries, eliminating up to 80% of manual onboarding work and saving tens of thousands of hours a year through platforms like Workday, SAP Fieldglass, Jobvite, and Power BI.

Over the last two years he’s gone deep on modern AI so he can help companies implement it on their own terms—especially where real people and real-world workflows are involved. His approach is simple: listen carefully to the people who will use the system every day, then design the technology to make their jobs easier.

Why We Started With Orthodontists
Orthodontic practices are a perfect fit for AI-powered front desks:
  • Long treatment plans mean each start is high-value
  • Parents are busy and often reach out after work or late at night
  • There are lots of moving pieces: consults, forms, financing questions, and schedule changes
By focusing deeply on orthodontics first, DiffusionSMB can:
  • Train AI on the questions, workflows, and objections ortho teams actually see
  • Build reusable playbooks and flows that can be customized, not reinvented every time
  • Show clear results in starts, show rates, and time saved for front-desk staff

How We Partner With Your Practice

We don’t just hand you a login and wish you luck.

When you work with DiffusionSMB, you get:

A discovery call to map your current calls, messages, and onboarding
A tailored AI front desk setup based on your tier (Tier 1, 2, or 3)
Ongoing support and tuning as your practice grows
Training for your team on how to work with the AI instead of around it
Done-for-you configuration of voice, chat, SMS, and DMs

A Personal Note

“I started DiffusionSMB because I kept seeing the same thing: smart, caring practice owners stuck doing work that software should be doing for them.

My goal is not to replace your team. It’s to give them leverage — and to give you back time and opportunities you’re already earning but not fully capturing.

If you’re curious what AI could look like in your practice, I’d love to show you in a quick demo.”
